 Silver for Hong Kong Team at ITTF Para Polish Open
ITTF Para Polish Open took place in Wladyslawowo, Poland from 30 May to 1 June. Head coach ZHANG Jia, coach CHEN Jie, athlete WONG Pui Yi, CHEN Silu, LEE Ming Yip, LAM Ka Wai and WONG Chi Yin participated in the events and won silver in Men's TT7 Team. Men's TT7 Team CHEN Silu and LEE Ming Yip entered the knockout rounds with 2-1 win-loss record in pool plays and overcame Slovakia team 2-0 in semi-finals. They lost to Sweden team 1-2 in finals to capture a silver medal. Men's Team TT9-10 The pairing LAM Ka Wai and WONG Chi Yin could not progress into the elimination rounds with two loss record. Men's Singles TT9 WONG Chi Yin advanced to quarter-finals with 2-1 win-loss record in pool stages. However, he failed to reach further after being beaten by Italy’s Mohamed Amine KALEM 0-3. Men's Singles TT8 LAM Ka Wai progress into the round of 16 with 2-1 win-loss record and lost to Aaron MC KIBBIN from Great Britain 0-3. Men's Singles TT7 LEE Ming Yip entered into the knockout round with 2-1 win-loss record and finished in the quarter-finals after losing to home Polish player Michal DEIGSLER. CHEN Silu failed to advance with three loss in preliminary rounds. Women's Singles TT5 WONG Pui Yi failed to advance with two loss in preliminary rounds.
