Para Lawn Bowls Coach (Contract)

The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (HKPC&SAPD) is the national member of International Paralympic Committee (IPC) with the vision of Enabling Hong Kong Paralympic Athletes to Achieve Sporting Excellence. The HKPC&SAPD is inviting candidates to apply for the post of Para Lawn Bowls Coach. The appointed incumbent will be given a one-year contract.
Major Responsibilities
  • To assist the Head Coach to coordinate, design and implement training programmes for squads and junior athletes;
  • To ensure athletes of all levels are well managed and facilitated with utmost training environment;
  • To monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation;
  • To fully utilize and integrate scientific, medical and other athlete support services into the squad training programme to enhance elite training outcomes;
  • To be responsible for administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions;
  • To administer a youth athlete recruitment programme.
  • Secondary School Education or above;
  • Over 3 years’ experience in coaching;
  • Attended the Para Coach Education Course organized by the HKPC&SAPD;
  • Effective communication and writing skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing;
  • Passionate in working with persons with physical impairments;
  • Understanding of the local rehabilitation network for people with physical impairment will be an advantage.
Salary will depend on qualifications and related working experience. Annual leave, Mandatory Provident Fund and medical insurance will be provided.
