Men's WH2 Singles CHAN Ho Yuen brushed aside the challenge of Spanish player Ignacio FERNANDEZ 21:9, 21:10 and Indonesia’s Agus Budi UTOMO 21:10, 21:13 in pool stage and advanced to round of 16 with 2 wins. Men's SL4 Singles LEE Yan Ping Patrick outplayed Kuwait’s Abdullah ALHADDAD 21:8, 21:2, but then was defeated by India’s Tarun TARUN 12:21, 12:21 in pool events. He advanced to the round of 16 with 1-1 win-loss record. Men's SH6 Singles CHU Man Kai worn out Dhinagaran PANDURANGAN from India 21:8, 21:8 and Yohei HATAKEYAMA from Japan 21:4, 21:9, then beat Natthapong MEECHAI from Thailand 21:14 , 21:14 and advanced to quarter-finals with 3 wins. WONG Chun Yim scored a significant win over Sudarsan Saravanakumar MUTHUSAMY from India 21:3, 21:3, and Iran’s Mohammad Reza TAGHIZADEH 21:4, 21:6, then defeated Hector Jesus SALVA TUNQUE from Peru 21:5, 21:9. With all winning record WONG advanced to quarter-finals. Women's SH6 Singles In preliminary round, LAM Ching Yung wore down Maldives’s Hawwa ESHAL RIYA 21:5, 21:6, then was defeated by Chinese Taipei’s Yen-Wu YU 10:21, 5:21. She beat India player Latatai Parmeshwar UMREKAR 21:9, 21:14 in last pool event and made it to the quarter-finals with 2-1 win-loss record. CHOI Wing Kei failed to advance with 0-2 win-loss record in the pool events. She suffered a 6:21, 9:21 loss to Chinese Taipei’s Yi-Lin CAI, and again 6:21, 9:21 to India’s Nithya Sre SUMATHY SIVAN. Mixed SH6 Doubles CHU Man Kai and CHOI Wing Kei defeated Indian pair 21:6, 21:12 and Chinese Taipei pair 21:9, 21:14 in pool events. They advanced to quarter-finals with two wins. WONG Chun Yim and LAM Ching Yung lost to Thai pair 12: 21, 21: 18,15: 21, then due to a retire by their opponent Indian pair, they advanced to quarter-finals with 1-1 win-loss record. Men’s SH6 Doubles CHU Man Kai, partnered with WONG Chun Yim, won Ireish-Indian pair 21:15, 21:9 in the first round robin event. They lost to South Korean and Thai duo 17:21, 19:21, and then smashed Indian and Peruvian pair 21:2, 21:7. The pair has to play one more event. Women’s SH6 Doubles CHOI Wing Kei and LAM Ching Yung lost to Thai-Indian pair 9:21, 14:21 and Indian pair 14:21, 7:21. There is one more event ahead.
