2021-2025 4th Executive Committee Meeting Summary

2021-2025 4th Executive Committee Meeting was held on 28 June 2022 and the major issues include:
 
In Memory of Mrs. Anne MADDEN, BBS, MBE, JP
At the start of the Executive Committee meeting, all members observed a moment of silence for Mrs. Anne MADDEN BBS, MBE, JP, the Patron of the Association who passed away on May 31, 2022.
 
New Member Joining the Executive Committee
According to Section 39(7) of the Memorandum of Association, the Executive Committee invites Mr. HUI Chung Shing, Herman to join the current-term Executive Committee until December 2023. Mr. HUI is a legal practitioner in Hong Kong and he will help strengthen the governance of the Association and provide professional advice on issues related to regulations.
 
Lesley FUNG Leaves Chief Executive Post
Ms. FUNG Sau Kuen, Lesley will leave the Association with effect from 19 August 2022.  The Executive Committee thanked Ms. FUNG for her contribution during her tenure.
 
Victoria Recreation Club Para Archery Range
The Association received HKD4 million support from the Sir David Trench Fund to establish a Para Archery Range at Emerald Bay, Tai Mong Tsai, Sai Kung.  A Ground-Breaking Ceremony was held on 5 June 2022 and the Range is expected to be completed in three to four months.  The Range will help drive sports for people with physical impairments and the archery development in community.
 
Revamp of Feeder Training System
The Association held staff retreat themed “Promoting Grassroots Participation & Mapping out Feeder Programme” on 29 and 30 April 2022.  Through reviewing current Para sports feeder training system, the Association aims to strengthen the connection at the community level and school promotion, so as to identify more potential athletes to receive squad training.  The Executive Committee endorsed the revamp.
