The Sports Association for the Physically Disabled of Hong Kong, China (HKSAPD) is a multi-sport national sports association to develop and promote Para sports and enable local Para athletes to achieve sporting excellence. We are now inviting candidates with strong passion in Para sports development to apply for the post of Para Table Tennis Coach. The appointed incumbent will be given initially a two-year contract. Contract renewal will be subject to performance.
Major Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach to coordinate, design and implement training programmes for squads and junior athletes
Ensure athletes of all levels are well managed and facilitated with utmost training environment
Monitor athlete performance through comprehensive, multi-method assessment and regular evaluation
Responsible for the administrative matters related to local and overseas squad training and competitions
Administer a youth athlete recruitment programme
Requirements
Advanced diploma or above
Holder of national level coaching certificates or relevant accreditation
Attended the Introductory Para Sports Coaching Course organized by the Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (the predecessor of HKSAPD) or Foundation Para Sports Coaching Course organized by China Hong Kong Paralympic Committee
Over 3 years’ experience in coaching
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Chinese word processing
Understanding of the local rehabilitation network for people with physical impairment will be an advantage.
